Mrs Christa Loos   MSc

Christa Loos began her career 16 years ago in local government as an Environmental Health Officer. She was involved in providing advice relating to public health, undertaking infectious and food-borne disease investigations, testing effluent disposal systems, monitoring water quality and noise levels, and undertaking general site investigations. After more than five years experience in local government and several years in the private industry, she moved onto the Department of Water as an Environmental Officer. Since then she has advanced her knowledge and experience in water source protection via preparation of drinking water source protection plans, best environmental management practice notes, and providing advice on land use management within the state’s public drinking water source areas (PDWSAs). In her current role as Senior Scientific Officer, she is primarily focused on protecting the quality of PDWSAs and is part of several state government advisory committees.

Christa achieved a Bachelor of Science (Public Health) from Curtin University (WA) in 1993 and herMasters in Environmental Science from Murdoch University (WA) in 2003.
