Dr Andrew Fitzpatrick   BSc (Hons) PhD

Andrew Fitzpatrick received a BSc(Hons) in geophysics from Curtin University in 1998 and a PhD in geophysics from the University of Tasmania in 2006. From 2003 to 2006 he worked as a geophysicist for Geoscience Australia working on large scale airborne electromagnetic projects for groundwater and salinity applications. Since 2006 he has been employed by CSIRO where he currently leads the minerals geophysics team and new geophysical technologies project within the Minerals Down Under Flagship and leads hydrogeophysical projects within the Water for a Healthy Country Flagship. His research interests are predominantly in applied electrical and electromagnetic methods for mineral exploration, groundwater characterisation and environmental mapping.
