Tony Laws   BSc (Hons), MSc

Tony Laws has been involved in the water industry well over 40 years and has worked extensively in all states of Australia. He gained in Masters Degree in Hydrogeology from London University.

Tony spent 4 years in Darwin and 3 years in Canberra on groundwater investigations as well as many years consulting on groundwater in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA.

From 1977 he worked for the WA Geological Survey and then to the WA Department of Water from where he has only just retired. He was manager of Groundwater Investigation Branch and subsequently the Manager of Water Source Protection Branch and has been actively concerned with the protection of drinking water supplies.

Tony has been extensively involved in the education of young groundwater professionals both overseas and in Australia. He is a member of the IAH and the Australian Water Association (AWA).
