Will Minchin

Will Minchin is a hydrogeologist and groundwater modeller with over 15 years’ consulting experience. He currently works for Watershed HydroGeo, based on the south coast of NSW. His experience includes data analysis, conceptualisation and modelling for groundwater resource assessments for EIS and related approvals, modelling for conjunctive groundwater and surface water resource management, civil and construction projects, resource appraisals for brine extraction operations, and solute transport and PFAS contamination assessments.

Will is interested in recharge estimation, groundwater-surface water interaction and the use of GIS to present and analyse hydrological data. His modelling experience is centred on the use of the MODFLOW family of software, as well as empirical and published rainfall-recharge models, and an assortment of rainfall-runoff models such as AWBM. Will has carried out peer and expert review for a range of applications in Victoria and NSW. He is a member of the IAH.
